This ring was hand made by an artisan in Taxco, Mexico and features a lovely natural cabachon Tanzanite gemstone. The Tanzanite is in four prongs and the ring tapers to the back with a split shank. The back of the ring is a bypass which allows the ring to be slightly adjustable. The lovely purplish-blue hue of this gem has so much appeal to mean and women. Tanzanite is the violet blue to blue violet variety of the mineral zoisite. It is mined commercially only in one area of the world: the Merelani Hills of Tanzania, which is where it gets its name. We find that both men and women love the color of Tanzanite because of its rich bluish-purple hue.
