Description:

The organic soft blues in this originally fashioned turquoise and Ethiopian Opal gemstone necklace combined with an artistic medallion creating a piece of art.  The artisan, Antonio Escorcia, is a genius with a delicate touch when it comes to creating beautiful raised wire designs and combining colors.

Features:

The pendant is approximately 3 inches long and comes on an oxidized 19 inch wheat style chain with a lobster catch.

The teardrop shaped turquoise necklace has a flat profile with a robins egg blue hue and is mottled with dark matrix.  This measures 28 x 28mm.

A single natural 18 x10mm bezel set rectangular Ethiopian Opal which is bezel set and separates the turquoise and the medallion.

The 1 x 17mm raised wire medallion is high polished on the back and Antonio Escorcia signed it and marked the silver " Mex 925".

The pendant hangs on a handwoven and finished 20 inch foxtail chain with a lobster catch.  The chain is oxidized and enhances the raised wire medallion.

About the artist:

Antonio Escorcia: From the small village of Hueymatla near Taxco, Antonio has become one of the area's most talented silversmiths.

His family was also responsible for teaching him the techniques of working silver when Tono was just a young man.

He has spent his life creating jewelry and studied briefly at an independent school of silversmithing in Taxco where he began to experiment with complex, Baroque inspired designs.

His pieces are truly one of a kind, beautifully imagined and technically flawless heirloom pieces.

This is a truly unique piece that effortlessly combines the beauty of natural gemstones with the craftsmanship of a skilled artisan. It is perfect for those who appreciate fine quality jewelry and desire a standout accessory that will surely turn heads.
