Description:

Our studio has tremendous admiration for artisan Toño Escorcia of Taxco, Mexico.  He crafts the most exquisite and original gemstone earrings with raised scroll wire work that rivals ancient crafting skills. He is truly a staff favorite!

Made by hand in fine sterling silver, Artisan Tono Escorcia has a combined kite-shaped Golden Rutilated quartz as well as round-faceted blue Kyanite.  His sterling silver triangular top with exquisite raised wire detailing is recognized as the work of a master silversmith.  He does all this working with minimal tools while working at his kitchen table.  We are in awe!

Length 2 inches

Antonio Escorcia: From the small village of Hueymatla near Taxco, Antonio has become one of the area's most talented silversmiths. His family was also responsible for teaching him the techniques of working silver when Tono was just a young man. He has spent his life creating jewelry and studied briefly at an independent school of silversmithing in Taxco where he began to experiment with complex, Baroque-inspired designs. His pieces are truly one-of-a-kind, beautifully imagined, and technically flawless heirloom pieces.
