Spinels appeal is that it is very "sapphire like" in the fact that it is available is a variety of colors. Interestingly enough, spinel is actually found in the mining process when digging for sapphire! This exquisite Burmese gem is an exciting red hue and one of the hardest colors to find in Spinel right now. It could be mistaken for a ruby with its' exotic red hue and Red Spinel is much more affordable than its' famous cousin. This lovely and timeless halo pendant is set in 18k White Gold and features the 1.73ct Pear Shaped Pomegranate Red Untreated Burmese Spinel. The gem measures 8.1 x6.8 x4.35mm loose and is set in three prongs. The pendant halo and diamond bail contain 0.19cttw of Round white Diamonds. The Diamonds are SI in Clarity and G-H in Color using GIA grading standards. The chain is sold separately. We are showing it on a 14k yellow gold wheat chain to give a two tone effect.
