Description:

The organic blues and greens in this ethereal opaline glass and chrome diopside gemstone necklace combined with an artistic medallion create a piece of art.  The artisan, Antonio Escorcia, is a genius with a delicate touch when it comes to creating beautiful raised wire designs.

Features:

The opaline glass necklace is a flat teardrop pendant with earthy blue and green striations running at an angle.  The colors show on both sides of the teardrop. This measures 25 x 25mm.

A single natural 6mm round chrome diopside which is bezel set and separates the opaline and the medallion.

The 18 x 20mm raised wire medallion is high polished on the back and Antonio Escorcia signed it and marked the silver " Mex 925".

The pendant hangs on a handwoven and finished 20-inch foxtail chain with a lobster catch.  The chain is oxidized and enhances the raised wire medallion.

About the artist:

Antonio Escorcia: From the small village of Hueymatla near Taxco, Antonio has become one of the area's most talented silversmiths. His family was also responsible for teaching him the techniques of working silver when Tono was just a young man. He has spent his life creating jewelry and studied briefly at an independent school of silversmithing in Taxco where he began to experiment with complex, Baroque-inspired designs. His pieces are truly one-of-a-kind, beautifully imagined, and technically flawless heirloom pieces.
