Description:

This bracelet is made of solid sterling silver and has a luxe feel and a mark of fine quality.  The Turquoise was meant to be the star of this link-style bracelet.

The silver artisan handmade each sterling silver bezel for each Turquoise gem, each of which varies in size and outline shape. The widest gem is a near 30mm wide at the points away from the links.

Featuring five vibrant gems, the Turquoise's color is the most desirable blue with a natural brown matrix that contrasts in color.

Turquoise is one of the world’s most ancient gems. Archaeological excavations revealed that the rulers of ancient Egypt adorned themselves with turquoise jewelry, and Chinese artisans were carving it more than 3,000 years ago.

Turquoise was a ceremonial gem and a medium of exchange for Native American tribes in the southwestern US.

The bracelet is finished with a toggle and will fit a 7 or 8-inch wrist.

The turquoise is from North America and the bracelet was made in Taxco, Mexico.

About Taxco:

Taxco was a lovely silver mining town located southwest of Mexico City and the center of a hand-wrought silver industry in the 1930's.

Taxco silver jewelry production boomed during World War II because Europe was unavailable as a source of luxury goods during this time so many high-end retailers in the United States and Canada turned south of the border to meet customer demand for exceptional silver art and jewelry.

Taxco presently has over 300 silver workshops that produce hand-made silver jewelry which is now one of the most recognized Mexican art forms.

Taxco is primarily known for its fine silver handwork and other crafts, being recognized as the outstanding center for silver work in the Western Hemisphere.
