Item Sku: G3074
Description:
Let us introduce you to the creative world of "Hecho A Mano" jewelry designs, where each finished piece is an artistic accomplishment. A long natural Turquoise was the inspiration for this one-of-a-kind modern ring.
Key features:
A marquise cabochon cut blue Turquoise gem with brown veining that is synonymous with fine quality Turquoise. Measures 1.5 inches long and 10mm wide.
The Turquoise bezel is set for easy wear and makes the gem stand out as the star!
Crafted with passion, the outer silver frame with negative space offsets the Turquoise on one side while a shiny silver bump sits on the other side of the gem. The bump is the end of the ring's shank as it extends upwards.
The solid ring shank measures 4.5 mm wide and is a finger size 7.
The ring is stamped "Taxco Hecho A Mano".
About the artist Manuel Figueroa:
Hecho A Mano means "Made By Hand" in Spanish. The people behind Hecho a Mano are all family members from Taxco, Mexico. The head of the family was once Jose Luis Flores, a renowned silversmith in Taxco, Mexico who once worked with the father of Taxco's modern silver tradition, William Spratling. His nephew is now at the helm, Manuel Porcayo Figueroa and he continues to make every piece by hand, from shaping the stones his pieces often include to crafting the silver metal into wearable art.
Manuel once worked in the studio of Antonio Castillo, another noteworthy Taxco artisan, and he has been permitted by Antonio's estate to reproduce many of his eye-catching designs. Aside from Castillo pieces, Manuel and his family produce their own intricate, beautifully crafted designs as well. Hecho A Mano represents the best of the silversmith tradition still alive in Taxco today.
Blue Turquoise of this color has been harder to curate, so order now to add this one-of-a-kind ring to your collection.
